The road unfolds like a magical carpet, leading us through the idyllic towns of Murree and Kohala. Here, Mother Nature puts on a spectacular show, with rolling hills, lush forests, and meandering rivers painting a postcard-perfect backdrop. Upon arriving in Muzaffarabad, we smoothly glide into our hotel, taking a moment to soak up the comfort and shake off the travel fatigue. Later, we plunge headfirst into the bustling local bazaar, a treasure trove of vibrant colors, exotic aromas, and unique handicrafts. Our historical exploration then takes us to the iconic Red Fort, or Muzaffarabad Fort, where the ancient stones whisper tales of bygone eras. To top it all off, we ascend to Pir Chanasi, a hilltop haven renowned for its jaw-dropping, 360-degree panoramas. As the sun dips below the horizon, we nestle into our beds at the hotel in Muzaffarabad, hearts pounding with excitement for the adventures that await on the morrow. Overnight stay in Muzaffarabad.
Day 02: Muzaffarabad – Sharda: Chasing Nature’s Masterpieces
With a new day dawning, we bid adieu to Muzaffarabad and hit the road again, this time bound for Sharda. The journey is nothing short of a visual feast, as we pass through a string of hidden gems like Patakha, Kundal Shahi, Jagran Nala, Athmaqam, and Kiran. Each turn reveals a new vista of snow-capped mountains, verdant valleys, and gushing rivers, leaving nature lovers spellbound. Upon reaching Sharda, we check into our cozy abode and take a well-deserved breather. Sharda, with its tranquil ambiance and unspoiled beauty, is a sanctuary where we can truly commune with nature. Day 03: Excursion Taubut: Diving Deep into Valley Delights
We awake with the sun, our spirits as bright as the morning sky, eager to embark on a full-day escapade from Sharda to Tabut and Halmet Valley. Tabut Valley is like a secret garden, brimming with natural beauty. Here, we meander through meadows ablaze with wildflowers, beside babbling brooks that dance down from the mountains. The air is thick with the scent of pine and the promise of adventure. Meanwhile, Halmet Valley beckons with its lush carpets of greenery and idyllic landscapes. We lose ourselves in the valley’s embrace, soaking up the refreshing sights and sounds, snapping pictures that will forever freeze these precious moments. After a day filled with exploration and discovery, we return to our hotel in Sharda, weary but with hearts full of joy. The memories of these enchanting valleys will stay with us long after we leave. Day 04: Sharda – Islamabad: Farewell to Paradise
We rise early in Sharda, knowing that today marks the end of our idyllic sojourn. As we set off on the road back to Islamabad, we take one last, longing look at the magnificent landscapes that have been our backdrop for days. The drive is a bittersweet goodbye, as we leave behind the serene valleys and majestic mountains. Along the way, we pass through quaint towns and villages, catching glimpses of the local way of life and rich culture. After several hours, we reach Islamabad, and with it, the end of our adventure. But the memories of Pakistan’s mesmerizing northern areas – the warm hospitality and the awe-inspiring beauty – will stay with us forever. We bid farewell, but only for now.
